PROJECT

North East Rail Line [NERL] upgrade

The North East Line Upgrade is a $235 million project improving train services from Melbourne to Albury. Including track resurfacing, new ballast, bridge upgrades and mud hole remediation. The project will also see the removal of the old 440v aerial signalling transmission line which is vulnerable to storm damage and theft. New buried cable, including new Power Authority supplies, will replace the 440v signalling transmission line along the corridor.

Our Engineering teams have worked closely with our client in resolving technical and construction issues, ensuring they have a good understanding of the signalling network and technology.

MW Engineers has also provided project management support, identifying and recommending solutions to achieve the best outcome.
