The Bus interchange project brings local buses closer to the station, making it easier for commuters to access the station precinct and therefore safer to transition between transport services.
It required the removal of bus bays from nearby residential streets, with instead 12 new bus bays located within the Ballarat Station area.
MW Engineers were approached by the main civil contractor (BMD), to relocate 24DR signalling cabinet, to facilitate the completion of the turning bay for the bus terminal.
MW Engineers manufactured a new cabinet in the workshop, including factory acceptance, strap and function tests, significantly reducing construction time in the field.
Commissioning of the new cabinet took place between 27th - 30th April 2021.
Our team completed all project works, including commissioning, two days ahead of schedule. Earning the praise and admiration from the network and main contractor.
